Training
Adam completed his undergraduate and honours degree at Macquarie University, and masters degrees at Macquarie Univeristy (professional psychology) and ACAP (clinical psychology). Post-graduation, Adam completed further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy.

Clinical Experience
Adam began working as a psychologist in 2019. His first role was in an Acute Mental Health Team in the Northern Sydney Local Health District, in which he worked in a comprehensive DBT program and co-facilitated DBT groups at Ryde and Royal North Shore Hospitals. Adam later became the coordinator of the Therapies Team at Ryde Community Mental Health. Adam commenced working for Sydney Clinical Psychology in 2022, but continues to provide DBT supervision back to NSW Health staff. Adam also works as an embedded psychologist with NSW Maritime, largely working with critical incidents and trauma responses. Adam also facilitates workshops and training with Scentia Psychology on trauma and resiliency.

Adam frequently works with individuals with complex problems, including: chronic invalidating relationships and developmental traumas, difficulties with emotion regulation and distress tolerance, relationship problems, substance dependence and other forms of addiction.

Interests
Adam has particular interests in trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, substance use disorders, depression, performance psychology, and evolutionary psychology. Adam aims to work with clients to help understand how their development and personal experiences have led to current problems, and focuses on working with clients to achieve their life goals. Outside of working with clients, Adam enjoys playing sport (football/soccer), practicing yoga/mobility, and learning more about the relationship between spirituality and understandings of the self.
